I still grieve for the little dog we lost a few years back (after sixteen years) so I know it hurts.KentAllardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16034050997693995004noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18696447.post-57345020007162323942009-04-26T13:22:00.000-04:002009-04-26T13:22:00.000-04:00This is Edna from Milton, WV, Mark. I barely posted one blog on here (I think?) just so I'd have an account LOL!<br />I feel for you and your wife Norma. Lois was a beautiful cat and I'm sure you both and her brother, Clark, will miss her for a long time. I lost a cat back in May of 2002 (the only one I'd ever really had of my own) that I'd only had the priviledge of being owned by for a short 6 years. She was not showing any symptoms of illness. Still ran all over the place, ate like a pig, drank water, did all her kitty things, jumped up on the countertop where I kept her cat food bowl and water bowl, with no problem, etc. One night I was sitting here IMing with several friends at once, when she walked across the surface of my desk as she did often and she just made a little sound, twisted her head and fell over, dead. I held her on my lap for a long time, finally wrapping her in a big bath towel as if it were a blanket, only her head and front paws sticking out. I cried over her probably for 2 hours, before putting her on top of a plastic storage tote, to wait till morning to be buried out in the woods. I'd say it was a stroke or a massive heart attack. I still cry over her at times. I had a hard time reading your blog this morning. I do so sympathize with the loss that you and Norma have suffered.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
